My Ingredients
TALLOW BALM
- 100% Grass-fed and Finished Beef Suet Tallow: My tallow is sourced locally from a regenerative farm in Petal, Mississippi. The farm is family owned and operated by Ben, a kind Christian and conservative man that I've come to befriend. His cows graze upon 500 acres of grass for their entire life. Zero grain-feeding ever, along with no GMOs, no mRNA vaccines, no steroids, and no growth hormones. These cows are treated the way intended, with love and care. The tallow is hand-rendered, whipped, and packaged by me! See my page “Why Tallow” to read about the benefits of beef tallow for skincare.
- Organic Jojoba Oil: Jojoba oil is rich in Vitamin E and mimics human sebum in the skin. Vitamin E helps to reduce dark spots and hyperpigmentation. It strengthens the skin barrier, fights free radicals, helps to heal scar tissue, and tightens the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. As a wax, rather than an actual oil, jojoba is able to condition the skin and penetrate deeply without clogging pores or causing any acne. Jojoba also helps to soothe sunburnt and dry skin. I have used jojoba oil on my skin for almost a year and have consistently noticed how “tight” my skin feels the next morning.
- Organic Castor Oil: Castor oil, also high in Vitamin E concentration, is known for its ability to seep so deep into the skin that it is actually able to enter the lymphatic system and our bloodstream. Full of ricinoleic acid, castor oil reaches the epidermis and dermis to guarantee long-lasting hydration and moisture for your skin. It helps to soften the skin, minimize pores, and decrease acne formation.
- Organic Rosehip Oil: Rosehip oil boosts our skin’s ability to produce collagen. The fatty acids in rosehip help to hydrate and moisturize the skin. It is also proven to reduce acne and acne scarring. Similar to tallow, it is a gentle alternative to retinol, helping reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The antioxidants in rosehip protect and repair the skin from sun damage. In addition, it evens skin tone, tightens, and brightens the skin, adding to a healthy, beautiful glow. Rosehip is one of the most popular oils used for skin care and health.
- Organic Frankincense: Frankincense, my all-time favorite essential oil! Frankincense’s use for healing can be dated back to 1500 B.C.. This supernatural oil helps to heal wounds, increase circulation, unclog pores, and reduce scarring and wrinkles. It is a natural astringent, meaning it works to tighten and lift the skin. It works like a retinol. Frankincense is proven to fight acne, inflammation, and pain.
- Organic Lavender: Lavender is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. It is used to treat skin irritation and minimize redness/discoloration. It can be used to kill bacteria which prevents breakouts and removes unwanted buildup in our pores. It is also proven to help relieve fine lines by rejuvenating the skin. In addition, lavender has calming properties that promote relaxation and better sleep quality.
SUN SOOTHE:
- Calendula flower helps lock in moisture, keeping skin hydrated after sun exposure. It is rich in flavonoids and antioxidants, which helps minimize sun damage/scarring/discoloration and reduce inflammation in the skin from sun exposure. Its natural regenerative abilities support collagen production and accelerate skin recovery, making it ideal for sun-soaked or sensitive skin.
- Raw aloe leaf is cooling, hydrating, and restorative. Containing over 70 active compounds, including vitamins A, C, and E, enzymes, and amino acids, raw aloe delivers antiviral, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory benefits. It promotes skin regeneration, accelerates the healing of burns and wounds, and soothes irritation from sun exposure, rashes, or dryness. Aloe also forms a protective barrier on the skin while allowing oxygen to penetrate, keeping skin calm, fresh, and nourished.
- Emu oil is a deeply penetrating, nutrient-dense oil rich in oleic acid, omega-3, 6, and 9 fatty acids, and vitamin A. It works to reduce inflammation, calm sun-damaged or irritated skin, and accelerate wound healing. Known for its ability to soften fine lines and wrinkles, emu oil improves skin texture and elasticity while providing intense, non-comedogenic moisture. It supports the repair of damaged skin barriers and enhances the absorption of other healing ingredients, making it an ideal carrier oil in any after-sun or skin-repair blend.
